How to Book a Clean

How do I make a booking?

You click, we clean – it’s that simple! Schedule the time and frequency you want us to clean and we’ll make sure you never come home to a dirty home again. All this is possible in under 60 seconds with 4 easy steps.

Let us know everything you need out of your cleaners. Tell us how many bedrooms and bathrooms you have plus any optional extras you want for a cleaner house.

 

2. Choose a Time and Date That Works for You

We’ll work on your schedule, not the other way around. Choose the best time for you and we’ll be there to clean. We even offer you discounts on regularly scheduled cleanings!

 

3. Review and Confirm

You know exactly what you’re paying due to our fixed-price booking system, so no more tricks and hidden fees. Make sure you’ve got everything just how you want it and confirm your booking!

 

4. Sit Back, Relax, Live

What if I don’t want to book online?

That’s ok if you don’t want to book online – we have a dedicated Customer Service Team here at Gold Coast Maids so just give them a call on (07) 5646 5290 or email us at support@goldcoastmaids.com.au and leave your number and one of the team will call you back.

Do I need to enter my card details to book?

Yes. We need to take payment information to book your appointment, but your card will not be charged until after your cleaning has been successfully completed. Guaranteed.

Can I make a same day or last minute booking?

Of course! We are really proud of the fact that we can book you in for a clean on the same day. Just give us a call on (07) 5646 5290 and we will book you in for that short notice clean at a time that suits you.

Do you service my area?

We service the Gold Coast, which includes postcodes between 4208 and 4203. Are you outside of that area, but still want a great clean home at an affordable price? Send us an email and we can work something out!

Do you have an hourly-rate option?

Yes we do! Our hourly rate is currently $39/hr per cleaner. The minimum call-out time is 2 hours.

On the Day

How will I know what has been cleaned?

All of our cleaners work to a checklist that we guarantee to complete. They work through your home, ticking off the tasks as they complete them. Once they have finished all of the tasks on the checklist they leave the checklist behind for you. That way you can be confident that all of the tasks have been completed to the highest Gold Coast Maids standard.

When will the cleaners arrive?

Our cleaners will always try to arrive on time for your clean however do please allow 30 minutes to take into account heavy traffic. We recommend if you need to leave your house for example by 11am that you book your clean for 10:30am to make sure the cleaners are there in plenty of time before you need to leave. We will give you a call if your cleaner is going to be late.

Do I have to be at home?

Nope! You choose whether to be at home or leave. Just tell your maids how to enter your home and they’ll get the job done. If you need a key pickup before the job, email us with the best time to get that from you.

Can I leave my keys with my cleaner?

Of course, if you book a regular clean with us we will always assign the same cleaner to the job. If you would like to leave your keys with your cleaner they will keep them secure for your next clean.

Will you let me know if the cleaners are running late?

Absolutely! If our cleaners get stuck in traffic or caught up at a prior booking we will call you right away to let you know.

What happens if something goes wrong?

If something goes wrong we’re here to make it right. Please let us know right away and we’ll be there to take care of it. That’s our promise to you!

About Your Cleaner

What is your recruiting process?

We hire only the most motivated, reliable and experienced cleaners in your area. To be accepted as a cleaner for Gold Coast Maids all our candidates must undertake a rigorous selection and recruitment process. This includes a telephone interview followed by a face to face interview. If they pass these we then perform a reference check on all of the teams finally we ask all candidates to perform a test clean so that we can inspect the quality of their cleaning. If the teams pass the quality inspection then we welcome them to the family.

Do you have insurance?

Absolutely. We are insured up to $5 million for your peace of mind.

Have your cleaners been background checked?

Yes they have. We run a detailed nationwide background check on all applicants as the last step in our pre-screening process which includes 100 Point ID Verification, Proof of Right to Work, at least 2 reference checks and a nationwide criminal history check.

Can I trust my cleaning professional?

Absolutely! All maids are trained, certified and insured. We’ve ran through several background, safety and quality checks. No one is more confident in their maids’ ability and trustworthiness than Gold Coast Maids. You’re letting us into your house and we’ll leave it better than we found it.

Can you provide a replacement cleaner if my cleaner is unwell or goes on holiday?

Yes, we will. Your cleaner will need to take a well deserved holiday from time to time and when they do we will send another reliable cleaner around to complete your clean to the usual Gold Coast Maids standard.

Are Gold Coast Maids cleaners looked after?

Yes, we are a close knit team here at Gold Coast Maids and have a close relationship with all our cleaners. We pride ourselves on allowing our cleaners to work flexibly which is important where they have children to collect from school or other caring responsibilities. We also pay our cleaners more than other cleaning companies do, this is so we attract only the most experienced and reliable cleaners in your area.

Will I get the same cleaning team every time if I book a regular clean?

Sure, you will get the same team every time. Unless someone is unwell or enjoying a well deserved holiday from cleaning we will keep sending the team that you are comfortable and familiar with.

Billing & Payment

What is the Gold Coast Maids 100% Satisfaction Guarantee?

We guarantee that you will be delighted by the results of your clean. If for some reason you are not just let us know within 48 hours and we promise to send a cleaner back to put it right for free. It’s as simple as that.

How do I pay?

We take your credit or debit card details at the time of booking however we will only collect payment after your cleaning service has been performed. We accept all major credit cards (including American Express) and debit cards for payment

When will my card be charged?

A hold will be placed on your card one day before service, but this is only a pre-authorisation. We will only take payment after your cleaning service has been performed.

Is my card payment secure?

We have three levels of security in place. First off our booking page is protected by RapidShare SSL. Secondly our booking form has it’s own layer of 256 bit security. Third, credit card transactions are processed by stripe and layered on their own 256 bit security protocol. In addition, no credit card numbers are stored in our system (only a token that allows us to charge the card). Rest assured we take security very very seriously.

Will I be charged if I cancel my booking?

You may cancel your booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled time without any charge. If you cancel your clean within 24 hours of the scheduled time, we have to charge you a late cancellation fee of $50.

How do I redeem a gift card/discount code?

Simply enter your gift card/discount code into the booking form as you are creating your booking. Your final price will automatically change to reflect your discount. At any time, you can log in to your account and see the balance on any gift cards you have.

What's Included?

Can I make a special request?

Absolutely! We put you in control so if you have got a particular product you would like us to use in your kitchen or a precious vase you want us to avoid when dusting just include the information in your booking. We will then pass these details onto your cleaner.

What if I only need certain areas of my house cleaned?

If you have specific needs or only require certain areas of your house cleaned then we can work on an hourly rate. Simply select “Hourly” from our list of services when making your booking.

How many cleaners do you send?

We typically send teams of 2, but for smaller properties we will usually send just one cleaner to get the job done.

Do you use your own cleaning supplies, products and equipment?

It’s up to you! You should know by now that we work with you, not against you. So if you want us to use your supplies, products and equipment we would love to! Otherwise, we use our own. If you have special care requirements, we recommend you provide your own products (e.g. you have sensitive flooring and would like a special product used)

What if my home is larger than average or particularly dirty?

Please contact us to discuss your options. Our fixed-rate pricing assumes your home is average size for the selected number of bedrooms and bathrooms and meets a reasonable level of cleanliness. If your home is larger or dirtier than average then our cleaners will either require more time to complete the job or will need to reduce the scope of their work.

About Your Booking

Can I book a regular clean?

Yes, of course! Just select the frequency of your clean – monthly, fortnightly or even weekly – when you make your booking. To say thank you we will even offer you a Gold Coast Maids discount for booking a regular service. Monthly services get 5% off, fortnightly get 15% off and booking a weekly service will get you a massive 20% off! After your first booking your future appointments will be automatically booked in so you can expect your cleaner at the same time every week/fortnight/month.

Can I book for any time?

Of course! We put you into control so you will be able to view and select available appointment times from our online calendar.

What happens after I make a booking?

Once you have completed your online booking you will immediately receive a confirmation email. This is there to reassure you that your booking has gone through. We will then contact our best cleaning teams to see who is available to complete your house clean. Once we have assigned a cleaner to the clean we will send you another email with their name so you know who to expect. We also send text message reminders to you before the clean, to make sure you don’t forget!

What are your Terms and Conditions?
